A while back Frank Skinner even gave us large cuddly toy Moose, carrying the message "I like your club, Frank x" on the final night of his run of telly runthroughs at AmusedMooseSoho, and says that he'll be coming back.
Amused Moose comedy clubs are great places to see the hottest acts on the comedy circuit, the best of breaking talent and household name comedians doing "secret gigs", and we're in the throbbing heart of Soho and London's theatreland on those "going out" nights, and in Camden (right by the tube) on the more chilled out evenings! What could be better.
The club was founded by Hils Jago and quickly gained a great reputation among audiences, acts and the industry alike for its friendly atmosphere, good facilities, central location, excellent booking policy and a reputation for continually nurturing some brilliant new comedians. It is an audience-friendly comedy club which only books "first date"-friendly comedians where enyone can safely sit in the front row, and where heckling is unacceptable as it spoils the enjoyment for the majority.
Our Soho venue is warm in the winter and pretty cool in summer (air-conditioned) with good facilities, and a ange of beers and some pretty good wine and champagne - all unsurpassed in the comedy firmament, and of course it hosts really good comedy. And there's always a short supper menu which usually includes a veggie option. Sometimes on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays we host private parties and corporate bashes there, which includes comedy, buffet and often a "free" bar - so don't hesitate to ask.
Great acts perform at AmusedMoose including awardwinners and stadium fillers Eddie Izzard, Rob Newman, Frank Skinner, Harry Hill, Bill Bailey, Rich Hall, Ricky Gervais, Stephen Merchant, Mackenzie Crook (Gareth), Ed Byrne, Adam Bloom, Al Murray (the Pub Landlord), Dave Gorman, Hattie Hayridge, Ed Byrne, Daniel Kitson, Noel Fielding, Stewart Lee and Richard Herring. Very recently we've had Stewart and Richard on the same bill (first time in 4 years), Al Murray and Ricky Gervais on the same bill, and Jimmy Carr and Lee Mack! Each summer lots of Edinburgh Fringe comedy shows preview at Amused Moose, making it the premier Edinburgh Preview venue anywhere.
AmusedMooseSoho has become a "secret gig" comedy venue - if you want to be sure to find out who is going to be on stage, and sometimes this may not appear in print elsewhere, you can check our What's On webpage for details. But for breaking news it'd be best to subscribe to our e-mailing list, easily done on our How To Contact Us webpage (as sometimes the only chance of getting tickets is by responding very quickly to one of our e-mailings, as those who managed to get tix to see Eddie Izzard at Amused Moose Soho will testify) Sometimes though we don't know in time that we'll be finding space in a show for a big name as it's last minute, and there are some people we aren't allowed to name as their managements believe we'll be deluged with fans when actually the idea is to runthrough a routine for telly or an big live show in front of friendly non-partisan comedy audience. So the answer is to keep coming down to see comedy at AmusedMoose comedy clubs and be surprised at who you'll find on the stage.
Reservations are always recommended at AmusedMooseSoho but not always necessary on 020 7287 3727 (from outside the UK or using a non-UK cellphone it's 00 44 20 7287 3727) - on a busy night those with reservations who arrive when the doors open will have first choice of seats. Tickets are held for those who have reserved - you pay on arrival. There are some tickets held back for sale on the door, as a rule.
Arriving later is fine, and you can usually gain admittance even after the show commences - though seating cannot be guaranteed for later arrivals. Very occasionally when there is great demand for tickets we reserve the right to resell the tickets you reserved if you have not arrived ten minutes before showtime.

AmusedMooseComedy produces shows on the Edinburgh Fringe and independently books comedy shows into festivals, theatres and art centres across the country.
PARTIES: AmusedMooseSoho welcomes bookings for large groups of friends and workmates for its usual comedy nights, and can host private parties and company celebrations. Please book as far ahead as possible, and it may be feasible to tailor the evening around your needs. Pre-payment may be necessary especially if the group is really large and/or at busy times, and will be for private parties. Normal house rules will apply as usual, and that's for the benefit of others in the group, other customers, venue staff and members of the MooseCrew - as you'd expect, unpleasant behaviour of any kind will not be tolerated.
