Alex Edelman (Edinburgh Comedy Award winner)

Fresh, original, and endearing, with each performance, Edelman continues to prove himself to be one of New York’s most promising upcoming comedians.  Edelman’s comedy career has taken him all over the world. Besides his stint here in the UK – where, in just a few short months, he has quickly made a name for himself, appearing at Machynlleth Comedy Fest, The Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Bestival and here at End of the Road – Edelman has performed in Spain, France, and Israel, where he was one of the founding comedians of the Comedy Basement in Jerusalem, the country’s first English-language comedy club. 

Edelman hails from Boston, where he began comedy eight years ago at the age of 15, and found frequent stage time at the area’s biggest club, the Comedy Connection, before moving to New York. In NY, he picked up where he left off, becoming a regular at many of the city’s clubs while simultaneously attending NYU, a school he graduated from with an honors degree in English.  Alex draws upon astute social observations alongside his student experiences at NYU in the creation of his beguiling comic tales.

Alex moved the the UK and set out to take on Europe. and quickly did so, when in 2014 he won the prestigious Best Newcomer Award at the Edinburgh Comedy Festival which cemented his reputation as one of the most exciting acts on the planet.
