David James

David James joined the London stand-up circuit in 2008 at age 60 and after two open spots Downstairs at the King's Head was nominated for 2009's New Act of the Year award at the Hackney Empire where he won 3rd place. He appears mostly in London, with frequent slots Downstairs at the King's Head and at the Funny Side of Covent Garden where he hosts the Bonanza comedy sketch evenings.
 
David returned to the Hackney Empire in July 2009 for the best of New Act of the Year with compère Jo Brand and made his first appearance at the Comedy Store in April 2009.
