Jess Robinson (Amused Moose Comedy Award: People's Champion)
Actress, impressionist, singer and voiceover artist; Jess has appeared on both stage and screen. Her recent TV credits include; ITV’s satirical puppet show – Newzoids, BBC3’s new comedy – Murder in Successville, and Rory Bremner’s Election report (BBC2). During the Edinburgh Festival 2015, Jess showcased her impressions (including presenter Alex Jones) live on The One Show.
Other TV credits include Dead Ringers, The Impressions Show, Spoof, The Slammer and Scoop! for the BBC.
Jess has recorded numerous radio sitcoms and sketch shows for Radio 4, including The Now Show, Fifteen Minute Musicals, Secret World, I’ve Never Seen Starwars, The Castle and Newsjack.
Jess is the voice of CBBC's Horrible Histories, she voices multiple characters on Dreamworks’ new production of Noddy and she provided the core female impressions for CBBC's HEDZ. You’ll hear Jess on adverts for The Disney Channel, Cartoon Network, BBC4 and CBeebies among others and all over the airwaves. She can also be heard on several of the brilliant Doctor Who audio episodes. Jess has also voiced numerous video games such as Anno 1404, Risen and Book Of Unwritten Tales.
A classically trained singer, Jess is versatile in all styles and began impersonating professionally when she played the title role of Little Voice, which she recently reprised on a national tour with Beverly Callard, Ray Quinn and Joe McGann. The production was directed by Jim Cartwright, the plays author.
Following her debut solo show in 2014 at the Edinburgh Fringe, Jess returned in 2015 with her new show Jess Robinson: The Rise Of Mighty Voice. The sellout run garnered 4 & 5 star reviews and towards the end of the run Jess' show won the accolade of Amused Moose Comedy Award 2015: People's Champion
