Paul Duncan McGarrity

 

Paul Duncan McGarrity has been performing stand up on the London circuit for about two years. In this time he has made it into the finals of a number of new comedian on the year competitions.

He has performed at both the Secret Garden Party festival and at Clarence house on behalf of the START campaign, a charity supported by the Prince of Whales and Jools Holland. In the summer of 2010 he took part in a three handed stand up show with the comedians Laura Carr and Lindsay Sharman, where a review in Three Weeks described him as, "practically bursting with energy...a hard act to follow"

He has a high energy, story telling style which goes down well with all age groups. He has a background in improv comedy, having performed as part of the critically acclaimed 'Dead Man in a Box' troupe from 2006 until 2009. He is also comfortable as an MC, having fulfilled this roll at various events including the 'Really Lovely new acts' comedy show, 'Elysian Nights' burlesque night and at the 'Earls Court community festival' outdoor music stage.
