Simon Brodkin/Lee Nelson


Simon Brodkin is one of the country's most exciting comedians. His most famous character, the South London geezer Lee Nelson, has won over the hearts of the nation on BBC Three's Lee Nelson's Well Good Show.

Simon has also made regular contributions to BBC Three's The Wall, and has appeared as a core cast member of Al Murray's sketch show for ITV1,  Al Murray's Multiple Personality Disorder, which broadcast in early 2009.

His other credits include  Funny Cuts - Simon Brodkin Sketch Show (E4), Absolutely Fabulous (BBC One),  4Radio Weekly (Channel 4 Radio),  Big Brother's Big Mouth (Channel 4), Out To Lunch (BBC Radio 2), The Morning After Show with Simon Amstell (Channel 4) and  Edinburgh and Beyond(Paramount Comedy Channel).

Simon performed his first solo show at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2006. This sold out every night, and won the Writer's Guild Award for Best Newcomer. He took Simon Brodkin is Lee Nelson to the 2008 Edinburgh festival. This was praised for Simon's 'sharp, quick-fire verbal sparring' (The Scotsman) as well as his 'solid gold material' (Chortle). 2009 and 2010 saw two further sell out years at Edinburgh for Simon. 

In 2011, BBC3 aired Lee Nelson's Well Good Show - Series 2 and Simon completed his second Lee Nelson Live tour. He also recorded his first live DVD.
