Amused Moose National New Comic Award: Grand Final

Vote alongside dozens of international talentscouts for 2019’s hottest breakthrough stars in the making, who battle for glory, fame and the shiny moose trophy, at the heart of the Edinburgh Fringe.

Eight truly outstanding finalists Babatunde Aleshe, Basil Jamm, Dan Jones, Michael Akadiri, Patrick Spicer, Ruby Carr, Russell Arathoon and Stuart McPherson beat 400+ new comedians from around the country to win through to this respected award's final, with trophies presented by our 2003 finalist Rhod Gilbert. Very entertaining awardwinner Ian Smith comperes.

Previous winners and finalists include: Jack Whitehall, Sarah Millican, Josh Widdicombe, Nina Conti, Greg Davies, Jimmy Carr, Rob Beckett, Katharine Ryan, Kevin Bridges, Romesh Ranganathan, Rhod Gilbert and Maisie Adam.  ( has information about entering for 2020)

Located in Edinburgh historic Old Town, the Grassmarket Centre is adjacent to Greyfriars Kirk, being at the top (west) end of Cowgate and at its junction with Candlemaker Row.

(If it helps, because this is in the part of Edinburgh which is at two levels, the venue is almost below George IV Bridge).

There is a Just The Tonic box office (linked to the Fringe box office) open at the venue until 11pm, plus a cafe and bar open until 3am.
