AMUSED MOOSE COMEDY presents ...

Amused Moose Laugh Off semifinal 1 plus headline comedian, hosted by Alex Zane, with aftershow music at Amused Moose Kings X.

The brilliant first semi-final of Amused Moose Laugh Off, previously won by Jack Whitehall and Sarah Millican with runners-up Josh Widdicombe and Romesh Ranganathan, hosted by Alex Zane (Sky Movies, and Rude Tube) and headlined by awardwinning Ian Smith, features seven stars-in-the-making who have won through from the heats and quarterfinals.

The audience, alongside a comedy industry judging panel, will vote to choose the winner who will go through to the final at the London Hippodrome on 11 May.

Tonight's show at the iconic WaterRats music/comedy venue which launched Oasis in London and Bob Dylan in the UK, is in the other home of Amused Moose Comedy - direct from Soho's only multi-award-winning comedy club, recommended by TimeOut - just a few minutes from Kings Cross tube/rail station.

Alex Zane will be introducing awardwinning Ian Smith to the stage tonight headlining  after the main feature, which is the seven semifinalists:
Dom Patmore, Flora Anderson, Jake Baker, Jon Long, Matthew Harrison, Mike Cox and Peter Flanagan.

Showtime is 8.30pm until around 10.40, but the venue is open before 6pm for pre-show dinner and drinks with 10% discount to comedy-goers on food orders before 7.45pm, so you could come straight from work.  Comedy doors open at 8pm, and there is music aftershow until 1am.

Venue: The WaterRats theatre, 328 Grays Inn Road, London WC1X 8BZ
Tube/Rail station: Kings Cross (4 minutes walk)

Seating: If you wish to be seated with friends who will arrive separately, some of you should arrive when the doors open at 8pm and know the total number in your group.
Seating cannot be absolutely guaranteed for late arrivals.

Our comedy shows are NOT suitable for stag or hen nights, NOR single-gender groups of 8 or more (See 'Small Print' below)

SMALL PRINT
1) No under 18s (because there is a bar in the comedy room)
2) Local bye-laws require venues to not admit anyone who appears to have already been drinking alcohol, so come straight to the comedy night rather than meeting up in a bar/pub.
3) Because of potential annoyance to others, single gender groups (including HEN and STAG nights) of eight or more will not be admitted.
4) Anyone causing a nuisance or disturbance will be required to leave.
The venue (not the comedy night) have responsibility for the above.
NB: No refund will be made in any of these circumstances, because ii is assumed that anyone coming for the comedy show is aware of, and accepts, these terms.
5) While every effort is made to ensure that the comedians who appear are those named above, occasionally performers may unexpectedly become unavailable, so do check if you are coming to see a particular comedian. Neither the unavailable comedian nor Amused Moose Comedy accept any liability in respect of their non-appearance/replacement, but Amused Moose Comedy will do all possible to replace them with another comedian of similar or higher standing
