Geoff Norcott ('Best New Show': Dave's Leicester Comedy festival)

Geoff Norcott has had a very successful year.  From a nomination for 'Best New Show' at Dave's Leicester Comedy festival to commissioned writing jobs on the 'Sarah Millican Television Programme', 'Stand up for the Week' and a starring part in one of the YouTube smashes of the year - Geoff's career is heating up.

Live stand up show 'Geoff Norcott Occasionally Sells Out' was nominated as 'Best New Show' after it's first outing at the Leicester Comedy Festival. He then took the show on a short tour of the North - supporting Sarah Millican - before hitting the Edinburgh festival where he played to sold out crowds and rave reviews.

As Geoff's writing career hots up, he has landed two commissioned jobs this year: 'Stand Up For The Week' (C4) and the 'Sarah Millican Television Programme' (BBC2) - along with numerous additional material jobs for household names appearing on the top panel shows including 'QI' and 'Never Mind the Buzzcocks'.

Geoff has both a radio and TV sitcom currently in development - with makers of 'The Inbetweeners' Bwark Productions - working to bring exciting new projects to the screens and airwaves in 2014.

The Youtube project with top golfer Rory Mcilroy was one of the smashes of the year. The clip - which saw Geoff live voice a robot character - was top trending video the day it was released and went on to smash two million views within 5 days. As a performer on TV, Geoff has worked as both a presenter and actor. In 2007 - 2008 he co-presented 'Shed Sports', a daily TV sports show with BBC Radio 1's 'Comedy Dave' David Vitty. Following the success of this he went on to anchor his own show for ETV. He's also presented 'The 888 Sports Show' on Virgin One. As an actor, Geoff starred in SPOOF an impression sketch show for CBBC and My Celebrity Divorce, a pilot for BBC 2, with Alexander Armstrong.

On the live circuit, Geoff continues to regularly headline the top clubs,and headlines big shows all around the world. In the last 12 months alone he has performed in Afghanistan, China, Hong Kong, Crete, Singapore, Egypt and Malaysia.
